Yass Schools Working Together
Last week I was invited to Yass to open the facilities funded under the Federal Government’s “Local Schools Working Together” Project.
It was a wonderful opportuity to see first hand how schools, governments and local communities are benefitting from collaboration and planning.

Honouring National Champions at the National Disability Awards
It was wonderful to witness the celebration of ABILITY at the Gala Dinner lin Parliament House for the 2011 National Disability Awards, where nine outstanding individuals and organisations were honoured for their work to improve the lives of people with disability These awards are one of the highlights of my parliamentary year – they acknowledge outstanding Australians working and advocating in an important area of Social Inclusion.
