Parliament

The Budget session commences in the week of 13 May 2013 and the 2013 Federal Budget will be brought down on Tuesday 14th May. The Parliament will sit for five weeks before the end of June, when Parliament will rise for the winter break. The Prime Minister has announced that she will ask the Governor General to issues the writs for the 2013 Federal Election which will be held on Saturday September 14th 2013. Ursula is a Temporary Chairperson in the Senate, which means that she is often acting Deputy President running the business of the Senate. You can read Ursula's speeches in Parliament here.
